Daffy accepts a job from the Acme Baby Sitter Service (Our Slogan: “United We Sit”; Our Motto: Our Sitters Don’t Lay Down on the Job) to look after a newborn chick. While Daffy is egg-sitting, the egg hatches. He must catch the tough little runaway chick, who takes himself (and Daffy) on a tour of all the nearby dangers. Daffy has a rough time keeping tabs on him, and an even rougher time when a large bulldog is added to the mix. Daffy resorts to some very Wile E. Coyote-like methods, but he must take multiple beatings from the bulldog in order to get the chick back.
