After bungling the opening of Scrooge’s new bank, Launchpad finds himself out of a job. Doofus confides that Launchpad can prove that he’s a hero in the eyes of the public, but almost everything he tries ends up failing. However, his attitude catches the eye of Ma Beagle and the Beagle Boys, who fool Launchpad into thinking he’s been signed up to play the role of a movie hero named ‘The Webbed Wonder.’ utilizing Launchpad the Beagle Boys use him to steal money from Scrooge’s numerous banks.
