Two years ago The Flash(Barry Allen), Kid Flash(Wally West) and Golden Age Flash(Jay Garrick), were chasing Professor Zoom a.k.a. Reverse Flash when they entered a void and Barry chose to sacrifice himself to save Jay and Wally. Wally blames Jay for what happened. Jay thinks he sees images of Barry and tells Batman about it. And later even he sees him. He hypothesize that it’s an image from the future so the three of them go there and find Zoom and discover Barry is alive and Zoom’s prisoner.
